Updates

Highlights from the blog

Over on the Arts Award blog, we welcome a guest post exploring the positive impact of museum objects on children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities. We also feature a post describing how a museum about boats uses its stories as inspiration for primary school children to write a new folk song as part of their Arts Award Explore.

We’ve published the first of three posts drawn from a piece of research undertaken as a PhD study by adviser and moderator, Dr Frances Howard, looking at how advisers can ensure a quality arts experience for their young people. We’ve also heard from special guest writer and former Comics Laureate, Charlie Adlard, who shares his views on comics as a medium, rather than a genre, and explains why comics deserve to be read.

Adviser portal ‘autumn clean’

Now that summer is over, it’s time to review and check your Arts Award centre details are up to date. If you’re a main contact, or centre rep, please take some time to check and update your details in the adviser portal, to ensure we have the correct information for the academic year ahead.

To review your centre details, log in to the adviser portal, click Centre Details and select your centre. You can then update your centre address, contact emails and phone numbers. Please also review the advisers linked to your centre, and if any are no longer active, email moderation.team@trinitycollege.co.uk with a list of names and we will unlink them.

Advisers – don’t forget to check your adviser profile details, too! Adviser Portal Guidance and video tutorials can also be found on our website.
