Help with summer moderation

If you’re planning on booking a moderation this summer, or are preparing for an upcoming one, register now for a free one-hour webinar. The aim is to support you in understanding the moderation process and help you feel confident for your upcoming moderations. Also check out our other upcoming webinars on delivering in primary schools and making your own logbooks.

The webinar will take place on Wednesday 6th June at 3.30pm and will be hosted by Kate Attard, Head of Sector Support for Arts Award at Trinity College London, and moderator, Jane Gray from the North East. There will be opportunities to get answers to all your questions around moderations and we hope it will be a really beneficial session to anyone planning moderations.

New to moderation? Maybe you’ve trained as an adviser, registered a centre but are now struggling to get your first moderation up and running? We have a range of support available to help you get to your first Arts Award moderation or certification ranging from resources on the adviser hub, to tips on our blog and free support surgeries. You may also be eligible for one-to-one support. Find out more about how Arts Award can support you.

Arts Award support surgeries

We offer trained Arts Award advisers free support sessions to help them get going. We hope to give you the chance to refresh your knowledge and explore ways to make Arts Award work in your organisation. Through support surgeries you can get help with planning the delivery of Arts Award projects, evidence collection for Arts Award, refreshing your understanding of the criteria for the various Arts Award levels, assessing portfolios and preparing for a moderation.

Attending a surgery is also a good way to meet other advisers in your area and share practice. We have a range of dates and themes, such as Make Your Own Logbooks and Low Literacy/SEND/Digital, bookable on the adviser hub now.

Arts Award Voice hubs replace young people's booklets

Check out the online Bronze, Silver and Gold hubs on Arts Award Voice. These offer step-by-step support for young people to work through each part of their Arts Award, as well as a host of ideas, resources, case studies and inspiration. Following feedback from young people, we’ve decided to phase out the Bronze, Silver and Gold young people's booklets from the Arts Award shop, although the Bronze logbook will still be on sale. Please log in, take a look with your groups and let us know any feedback.
