The latest from the blog

Over on the blog, we’ve been looking at highlights of Arts Award’s annual review, including statistics that highlight the inclusivity of the award and diversity of Arts Award achievers. Plus, we find out how to get the most out of Arts Award, relating to the 2019 Ofsted framework.

We also hear from Dr Frances Howard on the reasons for arts education and the contribution Arts Award can make, in the final post in our series highlighting her experiences with disengaged young people.

Have you applied for Access Fund?

A new round of the Access Fund opened on Monday 27 January! Centres working on Arts Award projects with young people who face barriers to access and inclusion can apply for a grant of up to £1,500 to help them pilot, develop, or embed their Arts Award work with young people. Find out more and apply online by Friday 28 February.

Please note that from September 2020, we will only be delivering one round of the Arts Award Access Fund per year, instead of two. If you are planning ahead for future funding bids, the Arts Award Access Fund will run as follows:

  • 27 January 2020: Round 1 2020 opens (closes on Friday 28 February)
  • Early September 2020: Round 2 2020 opens (closes early October 2020)
  • Early September 2021: Round 1 2021 opens (closes early October 2021).
