Arts Award Photography Competition

For advisers and young people

Would you like to see your photo published online or in print? At the same time supporting Arts Award to reach more children and young people?

The 2021 competition has now closed. Keep up to date with future opportunities via Arts Award's blog and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

This spring, our new photography competition offers you the chance to get your work included in Arts Award’s communication materials which have a UK-wide audience. We are seeking photographs which celebrate the wide range of creativity supported by Arts Award.

Advisers and young people can enter, and it may be possible for your centre to take part if it is currently closed or is not fully open. Photographs created in response to the competition can count towards an Arts Award (for ‘Part A’ of the Bronze, Silver or Gold levels).

The competition is open for entries until midnight on Sunday 13 June.

The judging panel will consist of representatives of Trinity’s UK and Ireland team, along with a special guest judge.

How to enter

Up to five photos may be submitted by each adviser - up to three by each student. You should make one entry for all the photos you plan to submit, so you will need to wait until you have taken all the photos you plan to enter before making your submission.

When you have your photos ready, before making your entry you should ensure that you have the relevant Trinity photo permission form(s) completed and signed for each person visible in the photo. You will also need to prepare a supporting document which identifies each person. Young people aged under 18 will additionally need their parents to sign a form giving their permission to enter the competition - you can find the form in the 'permission forms' section of the competition information page.

To submit photos, you will need to complete an online form where you can upload the photos as JPegs, along with all the relevant permission forms and supporting document(s). There are separate submission forms for advisers and students.

You will need to make your submission before the competition closing date: midnight on Sunday 13 June.

Submit your entry

Before submitting your entry, make sure you have read the competition information page where you can:

  • Read the brief
  • Download permission forms
  • Review the terms & conditions

When you are ready, submit your entries via the relevant online form.
